YEA!! We came up with a show! What we lack in memory capabilities we make up for in our brilliant repartee skills! So anyway…….here is what we talked about. Waiting to Do Pre-Production
So I am at Beth’s home (aka our STUDIO) and we are preparing to do our pre-production meeting. Back in the day (which, as Dane Cook would say is a Weds.!!) when Beth and I did our radio show, “Mom Talk Radio” and we were in our EARLY 30’s, our production meetings were quite simple. I would talk about ideas…..Beth would nod in interest. Then Beth would discuss ideas for topics….I would nod enthusiastically. AND THEN WE WOULD DO THE SHOW!!! It was easy because we REMEMBERED WHAT WE HAD JUST TALKED ABOUT!! Now our meetings go like this…… I start to say something…..then Beth remembers she had to tell me something….we try to go back to what I had been talking about but I have totally forgotten. We give up…..hoping that it will come back to me. So we decide to continue on with Beth’s idea……uhm, what was she talking about? Today, I arrive, having been in California for a week….Beth asks what’s new. Before I can answer, she whips out a pen and pad of paper and jots down my thoughts. BRILLIANT!! We go to Starbucks for some fuel and now we cannot seem to find the pad of paper. UGH!! So much for preproduction. So….when you listen to a TwoBroadscasting show, please keep in mind…..uhm, wait…..Beth…..what was my point?? Okay, Beth is ready to record. What were we going to talk about? Listen and find out!

As a mom to four teens I know how busy things can get. I have been trying to start a home-based business and there have been many challenges along the way. I have spent many hours trying to figure out how to balance it all. I have searched the web looking for moms who also are trying to run a business and raise a family. These are the moms I want to support, encourage, and hire. I feel I have been so blessed to have found a mom, who has the talent, the work ethic, and the kindness to help me finally get a web site up that I am so proud of. I’m excited to start posting my podcasts, photos, product reviews, and blogs on this totally cute site. The mom whose wonderful work you see here is Ali and her company is Mission Field Designs. About Mission Field Designs
I am a homeschooling mom of 4 blessings. God has allowed me to learn html and basic graphic design, and now I am able to share my talent with others!
Two years ago, I started my first blog over at homeschoolblogger. I started looking at all of the different designs on other blogs, and instantly wanted to know how that all worked. After much practice, and lots of trial and error, I figured it out.
Shortly after learning some basic html, I had a few people ask for help with their templates. Since doing those, my knowledge has grown. I now do blog templates on a regular basis.
As for the programs I use…I mostly use photoshop cs3 for my graphics and backgrounds. For designing websites I use mainly Dreamweaver, and sometime Nvu.
Designing blogs has become a wonderful creative outlet for me. I enjoy piecing colors, backgrounds, and grahpics together, and creating works of art. I love to be able to bless others with my talents.
What can I do? I do blogger/blogspot, homeschool blogger, homesteadblogger, and wordpress. I am able to make cutomized headers, signautres, sidebar headings, buttons, custom backgrounds, wordpress plugins, and custom graphics. I am just now looking into the process of making custom Etsy banners.
If you are interested in having your blog customized, need a button, header, or just a signature, please email me. All of my templates are done for free, with the option of giving a donation. Since I am a homeschooling, stay at home mom, any amount of donation is much appreciated! This has become my way to not only help others out, but to help supplement our one income family. I leave that up to your discretion, and what the Lord lays upon your heart.
